These super fun dance lessons include friendly vibrant Indian music from Bollywood movies/Hiphop/Folk/Classical/Contemporary genre to dance the specially choreographed Indian dance steps from different types of dance forms! Can be participated by anyone of any level. We would also explore various aspects of the ancient Indian culture, history, architecture, evolution of different dance forms & music. *If you miss a class, you can make it up on another Saturday.

 

If kept regularly, these sessions enhance fitness, flexibility, stamina, confidence, art of expression, joy, attention to life and exposure to the world. All the dances could be performed towards a recital, concert, show or event. Total fun!

Shanmukhi mudra is a simple but subtle practice that brightens and rejuvenates the face and eyes and brings about a state of balance leading toward increased awareness and meditativeness. Apart from Shanmukhi Mudra, you would learn two additional stand-alone preparatory practices for balance and resilience.

Benefits: - Improves vision - Brightens the eyes and face. It improves the aura in the face. - Rejuvenates different parts of the face, including helping with ailments related to nose ears, eyes. - Helps relieve vertigo and tinnitus - Enhances awareness - Brings about mental balance.

 

Age Limit: 14 years & above. Time: Takes 15 minutes to practice.

Cooking is a fun fulfilling activity for everyone especially when our families/friends get to taste the results of our passionate work. Cooking helps with focus, attention, coordination and increases the ability to care and share responsibility.

​

Food is the fuel for this body yet it is not only for the body. What we eat not only satisfies the hunger but also nourishes our body, mind and energy. How we eat and how we treat our food from mother earth plays a significant role if one seeks absolute health and sustenance of this human mechanism. So, what we eat directly affects the way we think and function in a huge way.

 

In our cooking classes, we bring inspiration to make better choices of food, snacks and sweets along with yummy simplified recipes that you can do-it-yourself. We would cook a 3 course meal and shine light upon the three pranic values of food, spices and their uses/remedies, order of the six tastes for effective digestion, how to intake, and how to design a balanced diet of proteins, vitamins, minerals, probiotics and carbohydrates, and touch upon the proportions of liquid and solid portions in every meal. We prepare such a meal to the best of our abilities in our class.

Dance Leela is an opportunity for a community get together to play and dance. It cultivates body-mind coordination, creativity, team work, critical thinking and inclusionThe games we play are of traditional and contemporary. The dance forms are of Indian folk origin which can be danced single, with a partner or as a group. We also use sticks to create rhythmic movements to go with the beat, music and the steps. Since this Indian folk dance form is new in the community, steps are taught meticulously and made easy to follow. Children, adults and seniors can participate.

​

To those who are totally involved, Dance Leela offers so much fun and leaves everyone utterly full of love, light and laughter. It cannot be fully described as it is something to be experienced :)

These sessions include Isha Hatha Yoga Physical postures/movements (asanas) to strengthen joints, lower back, and improve lung capacity | Inward process (kriya) to enhance inner focus, immunity | Breathing practices (pranayam) to reduce anxiety and bring mental balance | Meditations to experience stillness.

Cooking is a fun fulfilling activity for children when they get to taste the result of their hard work immediately. Food is the fuel for this body yet it is not just for the body. What we eat affects the way we are in a huge way. Children love sweets and so are we! In our cooking classes we inspire children to make better choices of food, snacks and sweets. We teach them and provide them recipes to cook simple food/dessert items including and shine light upon parents, farmers and all those who help bring food to their plate. Cooking helps with focus, attention and increases the ability to care and take responsibility.

​

Parents consent is required to approve their children to use the stove/ oven/ blender.

Because some recipes would involve using stove/oven/blender while there are some raw recipes that uses only kitchen utensils. We would email the ingredients few days ahead of time, so parents could provide them to their children and wait for their children to offer them a delicious food item at the end of the class.
