We would also explore various aspects of the ancient Indian culture, history, architecture, evolution of different dance forms & music. *If you miss a class, you can make it up on another Saturday.
If kept regularly, these sessions enhance fitness, flexibility, stamina, confidence, art of expression, joy, attention to life and exposure to the world. All the dances could be performed towards a recital, concert, show or event. Total fun!

Shanmukhi mudra is a simple but subtle practice that brightens and rejuvenates the face and eyes and brings about a state of balance leading toward increased awareness and meditativeness. Apart from Shanmukhi Mudra, you would learn two additional stand-alone preparatory practices for balance and resilience.

Isha Upa-Yoga is a simple yet powerful set of 10 practices that activate the joints, muscles and energy system, bringing ease to the whole system. Sadhguru explains that certain energy nodes in the body need awakening through dispelling inertia. Maintaining proper energy flow in the body promotes healthy living and brings ease to the body system. Upa Yoga includes Pranayam called Nadi Shuddhi which is a breathing practice that cleanses the nadis – the pathways through which pranic energy flows – resulting in a balanced system and psychological wellbeing.

Food is more than just fuel; it nourishes our bodies, minds, and energy. What we eat and how we treat our food from the earth significantly impacts our health. Making conscious food choices leads to improved well-being and function.

In our cooking classes, we inspire better food choices with simplified, delicious recipes. We'll cook a three-course meal together, exploring the values of food and spices, the six tastes for digestion, and how to create a balanced diet with proteins, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and carbohydrates. We'll also cover proper liquid and solid proportions for meals, preparing a dish that reflects these principles.

Dance Leela is an opportunity for a community get together to play and dance. It cultivates body-mind coordination, creativity, team work, critical thinking and inclusion. The games we play are of traditional and contemporary. The dance forms are of Indian folk origin which can be danced single, with a partner or as a group. We also use sticks to create rhythmic movements to go with the beat, music and the steps. Since this Indian folk dance form is new in the community, steps are taught meticulously and made easy to follow. Children, adults and seniors can participate.

To those who are totally involved, Dance Leela offers so much fun and leaves everyone utterly full of love, light and laughter. It cannot be fully described as it is something to be experienced :)

What we eat affects the way we are in a huge way. In our cooking classes we bring inspiration to make better choices of food, snacks and sweets. We learn and receive recipes to cook a full menu (minimum 3 course meal) and shine light upon farmers and all those who help bring food to their plate. Cooking helps with focus, attention and increases the ability to care and take responsibility.

We would email the ingredients few days ahead of time, so you could acquire them in time for the class and serve your family/friends a delicious dinner on Sundays.

We teach them and provide them recipes to cook simple food/dessert items including and shine light upon parents, farmers and all those who help bring food to their plate. Cooking helps with focus, attention and increases the ability to care and take responsibility.

Parents consent is required to approve their children to use the stove/ oven/ blender.
Because some recipes would involve using stove/oven/blender while there are some raw recipes that uses only kitchen utensils. We would email the ingredients few days ahead of time, so parents could provide them to their children and wait for their children to offer them a delicious food item at the end of the class.
